| Obverse description | Second laureate and draped bust of King Charles II facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and with flowing curled hair extending below the shoulder, the king's drapery tied with a bow at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine Baroque detail characteristic of John Roettier's engraving. The Latin legend is disposed around the periphery, separated from the inner field by a beaded inner border. |

| Reverse description | Four crowned cruciform shields bearing the arms of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, arranged symmetrically around a central Garter star, with interlinked C's (royal cyphers) in the angles between the shields. The date is divided by the shield at the top, and the Latin royal titles appear in the legend around the periphery, separated from the field by a beaded border. |
