Obverse description Second laureate and draped bust of King Charles II facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and with flowing curled hair extending below the shoulder, the king's drapery tied with a bow at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine Baroque detail characteristic of John Roettier's engraving. The Latin legend is disposed around the periphery, separated from the inner field by a beaded inner border.
