Reverse description Cruciform arrangement of four crowned shields bearing the arms of England (quarterly), France (fleurs-de-lis), Scotland (lion rampant), and Ireland (harp), disposed symmetrically around a central Garter star. Interlinked C monograms appear in the four angles between the shields. The date 1663 is divided by the uppermost shield, with 16 to the left and 63 to the right. The Latin legend MAG·BR·FRA·ET·HIB·REX encircles the design, all contained within a milled border.
