Obverse description A floriated St. Andrew's cross occupies the central field, with four Imperial crowns positioned in each angle of the cross, forming the characteristic design that gave the Kronenthaler its name. The mint mark appears at 12 o'clock above the cross. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design within a beaded border.
