Reverse description Central four-line inscription in raised Latin letters reading EIN / CONVENTIONS / THALER / 1818, denoting the denomination and date. The text is enclosed within an elaborate wreath composed of laurel branches on the left and oak branches on the right, tied at the base, a common heraldic framing device on German states coinage of the early nineteenth century. The wreath fills the field symmetrically, leaving a plain rim around the periphery.
