Reverse description The elaborate quartered arms of the Electorate of Saxony displayed on an ornate baroque cartouche, surmounted by an electoral crown flanked by two rampant lion supporters. The central escutcheon bears the crossed swords of Saxony, with the quarters containing the arms of the various associated territories. The mint mark initials E·D·C· appear in the lower exergue beneath the shield. A two-line Latin legend encircles the design, with the date 1763 integrated into the legend at the upper left, and the fineness statement EINE FEINE MARCK appearing at the base.
