| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Elector Charles Theodore, his hair dressed and tied at the back with a prominent ribbon bow, rendered in high relief with fine rococo detail. The effigy is uncrowned and undraped at the shoulder, presenting a naturalistic portrait in the late-18th-century court style. The circumferential Latin legend reads CAR · THEODOR · D · G · C · P · R · V · B · D · S · R · I · A · D · & · EL, abbreviated titles identifying Charles Theodore as Count Palatine of the Rhine, Duke of Bavaria, and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. The field is smooth, and the coin exhibits a milled border with fine dentilation. |

| Reverse description | Central oval shield bearing the quartered arms of Palatinate-Bavaria — the Bavarian lozengy (bendy-lozengy) impaling the Palatinate lion — surmounted by an elaborate Electoral crown with arched imperial-style coronet. The shield is set within a wreath composed of two crossed olive or laurel branches flanking the lower field. The date, here 1793, appears in the lower exergue divided by the branch stems, with the mint-master's initials AS below. The circumferential legend AD NORMAM · CONVENTION, split across the upper arc, denotes that the coin was struck in accordance with the Convention of 1753 monetary standard. |
