| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed bust of Elector Charles Theodore facing right, wearing the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece and displaying additional decorations on the breast. The hair is dressed long, tied at the nape of the neck and falling over the shoulder in the fashion of the period. A Latin legend encircles the effigy, and the engraver's initials H.ST. appear below the bust truncation. The portrait is rendered in the refined late-Baroque style characteristic of the Munich mint. |
