Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Anton of Saxony rendered in high relief with fine naturalistic detail, depicting the monarch in civilian dress with a plain truncation. The portrait occupies the central field with the surrounding legend reading ANTON V. G. G. KOENIG VON SACHSEN (Anton by the Grace of God King of Saxony) in raised Latin capital letters, separated from the beaded border by a narrow flat rim. The engraving is characteristic of the neoclassical style prevalent in early nineteenth-century German mint work.

Reverse description The crowned coat of arms of the Kingdom of Saxony — the barry of ten or and sable with a bend of crancelin — displayed centrally within a wreath of olive and laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The royal crown surmounts the shield. The circular legend ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK (ten to one fine mark), denoting the coin's fineness standard, runs along the upper periphery. Below the shield, flanking the mint mark S, the partial date 182_ appears in the exergual area, with the final digit intentionally left blank as is customary for pattern issues of this series. A beaded border frames the entire design.
