| Obverse description | Blue on yellow underprint, printed in xylography as a provisional reuse of the original Thesouro Nacional plate (P#93). A vignette on the left presents a seated female allegory of Commerce holding a sword. Print, series, and order numbers appear in red, with a red overprint inscription on the left panel authorizing payment through Banco do Brasil in accordance with Law No. 4635-A of 8 January 1923. |

| Reverse description | Printed in brown on a cream-toned background, the reverse is executed in woodcut technique with a Marajoara-style geometric underprint throughout. A large central oval vignette carries the bold numeral "1" above the denomination legend "CONTO DE REIS", flanked by two smaller oval counter-vignettes at left and right. The country name appears in a cartouche at the top and the full denomination in text is inscribed along the lower border. On this specimen example, diagonal red "SPECIMEN" overprints appear twice across the face. |
