Obverse description Right-facing portrait bust of Maharaja Bala Rama Varma II, depicted in a traditional Kerala royal headdress adorned with elaborate beaded ornamentation, feathered plumes, and jewelled pendants. The ruler's effigy is rendered in fine high relief, displaying a draped collar at the truncation. The circular legend reads BALA · RAMA · VARMA · MAHARAJA · OF · TRAVANCORE along the upper and lower periphery, framed by a beaded border.

Reverse description Central device depicts the Shankha (sacred conch shell), the dynastic emblem of the Kingdom of Travancore, rendered in bold relief and surmounted by a lamp or ritual finial. The conch is encircled by a wreath of stylised oak-like foliage branches tied at the base. The upper legend reads TRAVANCORE - ONE CHUCKRAM in Latin script, while the lower legend in Malayalam script reads തിരുവിതാങ്കൂര്‍ ഒരു ചക്രം, all within a beaded outer border.
