| Obverse lettering | CHRISTIANVS VIII | D : G : DANIÆ V : G : REX FK (Translation: Christian VIII by the Grace of God, King of Denmark, of the Goths and the Wends.) |
| Reverse description | The central device features a crowned quartered shield bearing the Arms of Denmark and its territories, adorned with the collar of the Order of the Elephant, and supported on either side by wildmen (savage supporters) grasping clubs. The entire composition is set beneath a wide crowned royal mantle draped behind the shield and supporters. The denomination in abbreviated lettering appears above the canopy, while the engraver's name is inscribed on a bar below the feet of the supporters, with the date divided by the mintmark at the base. |
