Obverse description Central field features a small raised circular boss at the centre, enclosed within a plain inner circle set against a flat, recessed field. The mintmark of the Treasury Department (戶, Ho) is inscribed within the inner circle, identifying the issuing authority. The outer rim is broad and raised, separated from the inner field by a distinct concentric step, giving the obverse a distinctive tiered, target-like appearance characteristic of early Joseon modernisation-era coinage.
