Obverse description Central field features the large numeral '10' set within a vertically lined oval cartouche, indicating the denomination of ten fen (one chiao). Surrounding the central device, Chinese legend reads 'Great Manchukuo' (大滿洲國) at the upper arc and 'Kangde Year 9' (康德九年) along the lower arc, with the specimen inscription '本見' (sample) flanking the central oval at left and right. The entire design is enclosed by a raised beaded border. The composition and restrained layout reflect the utilitarian aesthetic of Manchukuo pattern coinage.
