| Opmerkingen |
The Northeast Kiangsi Soviet Bank operated under the Chinese Soviet Republic in the Jiangxi-Fujian border region during the early 1930s, a period when Communist-controlled areas maintained their own parallel monetary systems entirely separate from Nationalist currency. The overprint on this note almost certainly reflects a redenomination or administrative revalidation — a common necessity in Soviet-area banking where printing infrastructure was primitive and notes were frequently reissued with manuscript or stamped modifications rather than entirely new printings.
Survival rates for Jiangxi Soviet-period paper are extremely low. Much of the stock was destroyed during the Nationalist encirclement campaigns and the Long March evacuation beginning in 1934.
