Reverse description A stylized phoenix (fenghuang) displayed with wings outstretched occupies the lower and central field, depicted in dynamic upward flight with elaborate plumage rendered in fine detail. Above the phoenix, the denomination is expressed in two large Chinese characters centrally positioned in the upper field: '一' (one) at the top and '角' (chiao) below it. The reeded border frames the design with a beaded inner rim visible around the coin's circumference.
