| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large multicolour guilloche rosette at left centre bearing the Cyrillic monogram РСФСР, flanked at upper left by the text Государственный Банк (State Bank) and at upper centre by the RSFSR state emblem. The denomination ОДИН ЧЕРВОНЕЦ (One Chervonets) is printed in bold letterpress at upper right, with the numeral 1 in a black ornamental panel at far right. The field carries extensive Cyrillic text in two columns setting out the gold-backing and exchange provisions, dated 1922, with the serial number printed in red at lower left and lower right, and multiple manuscript signatures of the Management Board of the State Bank below. |
