| 正面描述 | A Spanish postal stamp affixed to a plain cardboard disc serves as the obverse design. The stamp, printed in green on a cream-coloured paper ground, depicts the numeral '1' in a large ornate typeface at centre within an oval frame surrounded by foliate decorative elements. The legend 'ESTADO ESPAÑOL' arcs around the upper portion of the stamp, while 'CÉNTIMO' and 'CORREOS' appear in the lower field, identifying the denomination and postal service. |

Castellfort is a tiny municipality in the Maestrazgo highlands of Castellón province — its 1936 population barely exceeded a few hundred. When the Spanish Civil War severed normal coin supply chains, hundreds of small Republican-zone municipalities issued their own emergency cardboard or paper fractions, a phenomenon the Spanish call billetes locales or cartones moneda. Castellfort's issue is among the most obscure in this category, reflecting a community so small that surviving examples are genuinely rare simply through attrition — few were ever made, fewer still were preserved.
