| Obverse description | The obverse displays the quartered coat of arms of Andorra in high relief, set within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrollwork supporters on either side. The shield is divided into four quarters depicting the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell, the vertical bars of Catalonia, the two cows of the County of Foix, and the vertical bars of the Viscount of Béarn. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR in incuse lettering. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA arcs along the left periphery, with the date 2004 inscribed at the base of the field. |
