| Obverse description | The Honduran national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring an oval escutcheon bearing a pyramidal mountain rising from a seascape, without clouds above the pyramid — a distinguishing characteristic of this light type. The shield is surmounted by a quetzal bird and flanked by two towers, with a horn of plenty and a mining tools bundle at the base, all rendered in fine relief. A circular legend encircles the escutcheon reading the national motto, and the whole composition is enclosed by a dentilated border. The legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs around the upper field, while the date appears in the lower exergue. The entire design is framed by a beaded inner border. |

| Reverse description | The denomination is displayed in three lines across the central field, reading UN above the numeral 1, followed by CENTAVO and DE LEMPIRA below, all in bold upright lettering. The central legend is encircled by a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base with a bow, with individual leaflets and berries rendered in fine detail. A beaded inner border separates the wreath from the milled outer rim, framing the composition neatly. The overall design is clean and unadorned, with the denomination as the sole decorative focus. |
