A small decorative olive or laurel sprig is placed beneath the denomination. The date 1877 appears in the lower exergue. The circular legend DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAT is arranged around the upper periphery, flanked by two small five-pointed stars. The design is enclosed within an inner beaded circle and an outer beaded border.
