背面描述 The reverse is of a plain, typographic design, displaying the denomination UN CENTAVO in two lines of large, bold serif capitals prominently occupying the central field. The date 1892 appears in a smaller font directly below, centered in the lower field. The absence of additional decorative elements draws focus entirely to the denomination and date. A continuous toothed border frames the reverse, consistent with the obverse treatment and characteristic of the piedfort format.

附加信息

Piedforts — coins struck at double or greater thickness on standard-diameter blanks — were produced almost exclusively as presentation or pattern pieces, never intended for circulation. Nicaragua's 1892 coinage program was tied to the country's broader monetary modernization effort in the final decade of the nineteenth century. A copper-nickel piedfort at this weight would have been struck specifically to demonstrate the die work or metal quality to government officials or treasury examiners, not to fill any commercial need.

KM#P4 is among the scarcest documented pieces from this issue, with surviving examples numbering in the single digits.
