| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Honduras occupies the central field, depicting an oval shield supported by a Cerro de Plata mountain scene flanked by tropical trees, with a quiver of arrows, a mine shaft, and tools at the base, all enclosed within an ornate frame. A cornucopia and other emblems of national wealth flank the shield on either side. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS runs along the upper periphery, with the date 1988 inscribed in the lower exergue. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
