Obverse description Central device features the shield of the Philippine coat of arms, displaying a sun with radiating rays in the upper center, three five-pointed stars at the top of the shield, and flanking supporters consisting of an eagle on the dexter side and a lion on the sinister side. A scroll at the base of the shield bears the legend REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES in small incuse lettering. The circular field surrounding the shield carries the legend CENTRAL BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES, reading from lower left to upper right in bold raised letters, with a small dot at the base serving as a divider.
