| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in raised relief, enclosed within a beaded inner circle, conveying the name of the state of Trengganu, the Hijri date AH 1325, and the royal cypher of Sultan Zainal Abidin III. The legend is arranged in a traditional calligraphic style across several lines, reading 'Kerajaan Trengganu' above and the date '١٣٢٥' below. Small six-pointed stars flank the design at cardinal points around the outer rim, serving as decorative separators. The overall composition is characteristic of Malay Peninsular sultanate coinage of the early twentieth century, with the inscription filling the majority of the coin's face. |
