Obverse description Crowned and draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, rendered in the Gothic Crown portrait style engraved by William Wyon. The Queen wears an ornate crown adorned with crosses and fleurons, her hair dressed in waves beneath it, with lace collar and robes visible at the truncation. The legend VICTORIA QUEEN curves along the upper periphery of the field. The portrait is set within a fine toothed border encircling the entire obverse.
