(Translation: Victoria Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination ONE CENT and date 1858 arranged in three lines within a raised central medallion, surrounded by a wreath of maple leaves and berries rendered in high relief. The wreath is boldly executed, with individually detailed leaves creating a rich decorative border around the central inscription. The outer rim is defined by a continuous toothed border that complements the wreath. The deeply mirrored fields and sharp, frosty devices are consistent with a specimen striking of exceptional quality. No additional legend appears on the reverse.
