Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair swept back in flowing waves and gathered in a chignon adorned with a pearl ornament at the nape. A finely detailed ornamental diadem crowns her brow. The legend VICTORIA to the left and QUEEN to the right arc along the inner border, with a continuous beaded border encircling the entire field. The portrait is engraved in the Young Head style by William Wyon, rendered with fine relief against a smooth field.
