| 背面描述 | Central field bears the denomination ONE CENT in large bold lettering, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA inscribed in two lines below. Two stylized wheat stalks, curving inward from the lower left and lower right, frame the central legends and meet at the base, forming an open wreath device. The motto E·PLURIBUS·UNUM arcs along the upper rim in smaller lettering. The design, known as the Wheat Ears or Wheatie reverse, was engraved by Victor David Brenner and used on Lincoln cents from 1909 through 1958. |
