正面描述	The obverse bears the national coat of arms of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in the centre of the field, depicting a quartered shield with a rising sun above a British ship of the line in the lower quarter, supported by a marlin to the left and a flamingo to the right, with a crested helmet above and a scroll below bearing the national motto. The circumferential legend reads 'COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS' along the upper arc and 'FORWARD UPWARD ONWARD TOGETHER' along the lower arc, all in Latin characters. The date of issue appears in the lower field beneath the shield.
