Abstract wave motifs appear in the background field, evoking the maritime character of the city-state. The design, characteristic of Stuart Devlin's highly textured proof coinage work, employs contrasting frosted and mirror-polished surfaces to dramatic effect. No inscriptions appear on the reverse. |
