| 备注 |
Safeway issued divisional scrip — sometimes called "due bills" or "trade checks" — through individual regional divisions during the mid-twentieth century, primarily to handle small-change transactions at the register without depleting coin supplies. The El Paso Division operated stores across west Texas and southern New Mexico, and these low-denomination pieces circulated almost exclusively within specific store locations rather than across the full divisional network.
Sub-cent and one-cent scrip of this type was rarely redeemed in bulk, which means survival rates are genuinely unpredictable — some denominations are common, others nearly untraceable.
