Additional information

Lec#89 is one of several pattern strikings produced in Paris during the early 1920s as French colonial authorities explored revised cent denominations for Indochina. Patterns from this period were never adopted for circulation — the existing 1-cent bronze series continued largely unchanged — leaving these pieces as administrative curiosities rather than precursors to any issued type.

Surviving examples are almost exclusively from the Monnaie de Paris archives or early dispersals of official holdings.
