Obverse description The coat of arms of Guyana occupies the central field, featuring a shield supported by two jaguars rampant, surmounted by a helmet with an Amerindian headdress above. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY. The curved legend OUR PEOPLE - OUR MOST PRECIOUS ASSET arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script.
