| Reverse description | Central field bears the denomination ONE CENT in two bold lines, enclosed within an open wreath of laurel and olive branches tied at the base with a bow and extending to either side. The wreath tips are adorned with berries and leaves. The peripheral legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA curves continuously around the upper and lower portions of the field, separated from the wreath by a plain inner border. A beaded inner border and a denticulated outer border complete the design. |
