Obverse description	The obverse features the complete coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago rendered in high relief at the centre of the field. The shield displays a sailing vessel in the base and is supported on the dexter side by a scarlet ibis and on the sinister side by a cocrico, both birds being national symbols of the twin-island republic. Above the shield rises a crest composed of a ship's wheel surmounted by a palm tree, flanked by stylised flames. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto in raised Latin lettering. The mint engraver's initials appear in the lower field below the central device.
