Reverse description Central denomination numeral flanked by a classic wreath motif, faithfully reproducing the reverse design of the Canadian large cent as it appeared on circulating coinage during the George V era. The wreath, composed of maple leaves and other botanical elements, encircles the denomination in the center of the field. The legend CANADA appears above and the denomination 1 CENT is inscribed within the design, with the commemorative date 2012 incorporated into the reverse inscription to mark the retirement of the Canadian penny. The composition is rendered in fine detail, consistent with the high-relief standards of the .9999 fine silver issue.
