Reverse description Central motif of a stylised coconut palm tree flanked by the denomination ONE CENT in Sinhalese script (සතය) to the left and Tamil script (சதம்) to the right, all enclosed within a raised circular border. The outer field carries the country name CEYLON and the denomination ONE CENT in Latin characters, with the date below, all separated by raised dots. A beaded outer border surrounds the entire design, consistent with the colonial coinage aesthetic engraved by Leonard Charles Wyon.
