Additional information

Mauritius coinage during this period was struck at the Royal Mint in London rather than locally — the island had no minting infrastructure of its own. The George V cent series replaced an Edward VII type discontinued after his death in 1910, and production ran across several years with mintages varying considerably between dates. The 1920 issue is notably scarcer than most years in the run.
