| Reverse description | The numeral 1 dominates the central field, enclosed within a raised beaded circle. The legend MAURITIUS arcs across the upper periphery, flanked by small pellets, while the denomination ONE CENT appears along the lower left and the date along the lower right of the beaded border. The entire design is contained within a dentilated outer rim, giving the reverse a clean and functional appearance typical of British colonial coinage of the period. |
