Reverse description A stylised trident, the national symbol of Barbados, is prominently displayed in the centre of the field, its decorative shaft rendered with foliate detail and a crowned crossbar. The denomination legend ONE CENT curves along the lower portion of the field in large incuse letters, flanked on either side by the initial letters. The engraver's initials PN appear in small characters just below the base of the trident. A beaded border runs along the inner rim, consistent with the obverse design.
