Reverse description The reverse reproduces the classic Canadian cent design featuring two large maple leaves conjoined on a common twig, rendered in high relief with fine vein detail on each leaf. The denomination '1 CENT' appears in the upper field above the maple leaves, with the date '2012' inscribed below the twig and the country name 'CANADA' arcing along the lower periphery. The design closely mirrors the iconic George Kruger Gray reverse design used on circulating Canadian cents, here struck in proof quality on a .9999 fine gold flan. The deeply mirrored fields and frosted devices are characteristic of the proof finish.
