| Reverse description | The reverse displays the classic Canadian cent design by George Kruger Gray, featuring two large maple leaves on a common twig at centre, flanked by a smaller leaf to the left, all rendered in fine detail against a plain field. The denomination '1 CENT' is inscribed at the top of the field above the maple leaves, with the date below the twig and the country name CANADA arcing along the lower periphery. The engraver's initials 'KG' appear to the right of the date. The design is contained within an inner beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
