Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse bears the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile at approximately 77 years of age. The bare-headed portrait shows the Queen wearing a necklace and drop earrings, rendered in a restrained and naturalistic sculptural style. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, affirming her title by divine grace. The effigy occupies the central field with fine medallic relief typical of Royal Canadian Mint collector issues.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse reproduces George Kruger Gray's enduring maple leaf and beaver design, employed on the Canadian one-cent piece almost continuously since its introduction in 1937. Two stylised maple leaves on a common twig are depicted in the upper field, with a central dividing stem, the whole framed by the legends CANADA above and the denomination 1 CENT flanking the date 2012 in the lower field. The design, struck here in fine .9999 silver as a commemorative farewell to the circulating penny, retains the crisp classical lines of Kruger Gray's original composition. The smooth edge and medal alignment are consistent with the collector presentation of this final series issue.
