正面描述 Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as sculpted by Raphael Maklouf for the third definitive portrait series. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' runs along the left periphery, while 'FIJI' and the date '2006' are positioned to the right of the effigy. The Queen's neck and upper shoulders are visible, and the portrait is rendered in fine relief against a smooth field.

背面描述 Central depiction of a traditional Fijian tanoa, the ceremonial low-footed wooden bowl used for the preparation and serving of kava, rendered in three-quarter perspective within the field. The numeral '1' appears above the tanoa, and the word 'cent' is inscribed in lowercase letters below. A decorative toothed inner border runs around the entire circumference of the reverse.

附加信息

Fiji's cent coinage had long been struck in bronze, but rising copper prices and the economics of low-denomination production forced the shift to copper-plated steel by the mid-2000s. The magnetic variant catalogued here reflects that transition — same planchet supplier logic that drove similar changes across Commonwealth Pacific issues in the same period. The 3rd portrait of Elizabeth II, sculpted by Raphael Maklouf, had been in use since 1985, making this one of the later issues before Fiji's post-coup monetary reforms eventually swept the entire cent denomination from circulation in 2009.
