Obverse description	Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the St. Edward's Crown and a draped bust, as sculpted by Cecil Thomas. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a flat field. The peripheral legend reads QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, arcing around the upper portion of the coin. A fine toothed border runs along the inner rim.
