Obverse description The central round hole is surmounted by an imperial St. Edward's Crown rendered in fine relief. Two ornamental elephant trunk scrolls curve symmetrically on either side of the central hole, framing the design. The denomination ONE CENT is inscribed in two lines in the lower field. The circular legend EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR runs along the periphery, with beaded border encircling the entire obverse.
