| 备注 |
Divisional Signals Canteen tokens and notes of this type were produced during the Second World War to manage purchasing within British and Commonwealth military unit canteens — preventing cash from leaking out of camp and discouraging black-market trading with local populations. The elongated slip format is characteristic of wartime canteen scrip, which prioritized economical paper use over any pretense of formality.
The issuing unit has not been definitively identified, leaving open the question of which theater this scrip served — North Africa, Italy, and the Middle East all hosted Divisional Signals units between 1942 and 1944.
