| 备注 |
Canned Foods Incorporated was a San Francisco-based grocery chain that operated a network of discount warehouse stores during the 1930s. Like many large retailers of the Depression era, the company issued its own scrip to manage cash flow and encourage customers to spend within the store rather than convert change into coin. This particular cent denomination is among the lowest-face-value pieces of Depression-era merchant scrip documented from the Bay Area.
