| 备注 |
Arapahoe Stores, Inc. was a cooperative trading operation, and this 1-cent cardboard chit is the kind of fractional scrip that cooperative and company stores issued to avoid making change in coin — particularly useful during periods when small-denomination coinage was scarce or simply inconvenient to stock. Cardboard fractionals of this type were strictly internal instruments, redeemable only at the issuing store and worthless the moment the business closed or membership lapsed.
The "#1 Pueblo" designation suggests at least a second location existed under the same corporate name.
